The Paisley Fogg entertained our summer 2011 concert series audience. What a fun group! They arrived on time (very important to the host), were all anticipating a great show, had great attitudes, were very social with our patrons – and that was all before their show! When they took the stage they wowed the crowd of 1200 with their psychedelic sixties music. The sound that came out of these musicians was incredible, and their stage presence pours out onto the crowd. The guitar riffs are solid, the three-part harmonies are right on, and the band plays so well together. They’re fun. They’re entertaining. They’re great musicians. They’re … well … The Paisley Fogg! – Bill Monroe, Director, Lexington Arts Council
2011 was bigger and better for The Paisley Fogg, with a number of notable “firsts”. The band played to its largest audience ever, 1,200-strong at the harbor in Lexington. We were rained out for the first time ever at Lapeer Days when the stage roof nearly collapsed on the band and our gear. Thanks to the stage crew for propping it up with mic stands! Nearly lost our first amplifier when Dave left it on stage at the Dream Cruise … saved by the stage guys & gals again! Were interviewed for a documentary about Detroit rock & roll, and the band also saw one wedding, one carjacking (serious stuff) and two new grandkids! No wonder our hair is gray.
